Trogir is a historic site with a series of beautiful winding alleys surrounded by a huge fortress like Gate on one side and a beautiful coastal port on the other.

10. Cathedral of St. Lawrence

This cathedral, known as St. John among the locals, is the tallest building in the city. The detailed artwork of this masterpiece begins from the entrance and continues till the baptistery.

9. The Bell Tower

This tower is attached to the Cathedral of St.Lawrence. Climb to the top of the tower for a mesmerizing view of the city.

8. Fortress Kamerlengo


Built in the 15th century, by the Republic of Venice, this castle and fortress is an expansion of Veriga Tower. It dominates the Waterfront of the city and offers breathtaking views of the city from the top.

7. Central Square


On one side you have the cathedral of St. Lawrence and on the other side you have the Town Loggia where every once in a while there comes a choir to sing at the Loggia. Sit back and enjoy over coffee at one of the cafes here.

6. Palace Cipiko


This Grand Palace is dated to 1457 and its architecture is quite unique to Trogir, but given the maritime dominance of the Venetian Empire, perhaps not surprising.

5. The North Gate


This was built around the year 1656 in Romanesque style. Atop is a Gothic 15th century statue of John, the Bishop who prevented Hungarian King Koloman from destroying Trogir during a war of succession.

4. Waterfront Promenade

This is a great spot to sit back and enjoy a drink while watching the boats go by.

3. St. Dominic Monastery

Situated on the southwest side of the Promenade, this church was renovated in Renaissance style during the 14th Century. It boasts of a single nave with a rectangular choir, and wooden ceiling and narrow Gothic windows.
