A metro is a rapid transit system and its stations are called as Metro Stations or Subways. It is a type of high-capacity public transport, generally found in urban areas.
Unlike buses or trams, rapid transit systems are electric railways that operate on an exclusive right-of-way, which cannot be accessed by pedestrians or other vehicles.

The most populous country in the world has the 2nd busiest metro. Beijing Subway with 17 lines and 232 stations, covers 465 km.
#3. Seoul Subway,
South Korea
Also known as ‘the longest subway system’ in the world, Seoul Subway is the 3rd most busiest. With 23 lines and 728 stations, it has a total route length of 940 km.

The 4th most busiest is the Shanghai Metro, it was the third one to open in China. It has 16 lines, 414 stations and a system length of 676 km.

Europe’s busiest and 5th busy in the world, Moscow Metro was opened in 1935. Comprised of 12 lines and 195 stations, it spans a total length of 325.9 km.
