The main attraction in Siena is the Siena Cathedral - an epitome of Gothic architecture in the entire Italy. The facade and exterior of the cathedral is magnificent and features a plethora of white stone and marble design features, plus several sublime frescoes.

The interior features striped poly chrome marble arches, to the ornate golden dome and the beautiful frescoes above the main altar.
Within the walls of Siena Cathedral is a hidden treasure - The Piccolomini Library. The walls, arches and ceiling are covered with detailed paintings created by Pinturicchio that depict stories from Pope Pius II's life.
Biblioteca Piccolomini
This main square of Siena contains some stunning architecture like Torre del Mangia, Palazzo Pubblico and  Fountain of Gaia. It is also the heart of the local life and the true Italian vibe.
Piazza del Campo
Located in the Piazza del Campo, this medieval structure was created in the 13th century and served as the house of the Republican Government of Siena. The architecture features an Italian Gothic design with a plethora of beautiful arched windows.
Palazzo Pubblico
Housed inside Palazzo Pubblico, this museum contains some fantastic artwork and artifacts from Siena. The main attraction of the museum is the series of original frescoes that were painted inside the palace during its construction.
At the end of the Palazzo Pubblico, stands this slender 102m tall tower. The top of this tower gives a breathtaking view of entire Siena.
Torre del Mangia
A great place to learn about the culture of Siena. The gallery holds some notable artwork like “Raising of Lazarus” and “Entry into Jerusalem” by Guide da Siena, and “Madonna Enthroned” by Lorenzetti.
Siena National Gallery
Yet another magnificent architecture, this chapel features some gorgeous religious frescoes and marble sculptures. The main nave contains some ornate religious fixtures such as golden candelabras and altar pieces.
Church of San Domenico
The Piazza Salimbeni is a small square in the heart of the historic town centre. On three sides of the square, you can find three entirely different palace facades – the Palazzo Tantucci, the Palazzo Salimbeni and the Palazzo Spannocchi.

Also known as the gate of the Water Spout, it is one of the remaining portals from this historic network. The gateway features a double doorway made from stone – both have impressive arches and the inner gate still has its wooden frame and doors.

A must-visit to learn about the importance of Siena’s main Saint, this religious complex was created to honour St. Catherine of Siena and it is supposedly built over her original birthplace.
Santuario di Santa Caterina
A must visit in Siena are its fountains. To name a few - Fonte di Fontebranda, Fonte di Gaia are one of its kind and were created centuries ago. Siena's UNESCO heritage is incomplete without them.
