Tourists flock to Greek beaches annually to enjoy the sun, sand and clean beaches. Greece is known for its sandy, pebbled, secluded and organized beaches.
The best time to visit Greek beaches is between May and early October.
The beach is in Crete, the largest island in Greece. The sand is fine and creamy with a slight tint of pink.
Elafonisi Beach
Elafonisi is an island separated by a shallow lagoon and sandbar. You can wade across to the island to enjoy the nature reserve that is serene. Beach chairs and umbrellas are not allowed here. There are tiny coves and sandy beaches in the nature reserve.

Navagio (Shipwreck Beach)
The color of the water is teal and there are high cliffs around the beach. There is a rusty shipwreck here that is partly submerged in the sand. The water current is intense.

Glyfada Beach
You can also rent sunbeds and umbrella. The northern end of the beach is quieter.
