Yes, stripy baby from the Kung Fu Panda movie is a part of the Zoo. The Sumatran tigress from the San Diego Safari Park is a part of the Species Survival Plan. She lives in the Zoo along with an Amur male tiger named Pavel.
In the nearby yard of the Great Cats Circle, visit the 6 African Lions, the pride of the zoo. There are 3 males named Luke, Shaka and Jumbe and 3 females called Shera, Amahle, and Naba.

How to Reach The Zoo?
The National Zoo is located centrally in northwest Washington, D.C.
There are many entrances to the Zoo which are pedestrian as well as vehicle-friendly.
You could take the Metro Bus and Metro Rail to reach the zoos. Both have stops at walking distance from the zoo.
You could drive your own car and reach the zoo.
Entry Fees
Entry to the National Zoological Park is completely free. All you need to do is walk right through the gates without paying for the ticket. You can even bring your own lunch to the zoo, however, barbeque is prohibited.

Grounds: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Last admittance 6 p.m
Exhibit Buildings: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Amazonia opens at 10 a.m.
