This quaint little adventure capital of New Zealand is located near the shoreline of Lake Wakatipu. Queenstown is planet's one of the best destinations for adventure sports. People from across the globe come here for a galore of summer as well as winter sports. Bungee jumping, swinging, and zip-lining along with jet boating are synonymous with Queenstown.

Skippers Canyon

Ride through the narrow and winding road through the canyon to capture the breathtaking vertical drops on one side and high cliffs on the other. You can cross the high suspension bridge known as Skippers Bridge over the Shotover River. This place lies 20 kilometers north of Queenstown.
Many of the rental car companies don't allow their vehicles on this narrow and winding road. However, there are many local tour operators to take you up to the canyon. Else you can always opt for mountain biking.

Coronet Peak

If you're visiting Queenstown in winter and love to ski, then Coronet is your destination. This place offers world class facilities for skiers. The ski season is from June to September.
You need to have all your bookings done before the onset of the winter season. During this period there are regular bus services between the ski resort and Queenstown.

Lake Wanaka is located 67 kilometers northeast of Queenstown. It's known for its natural beauty and is in proximity to Mt. Aspiring National Park.
