Praia da Marinha, Lagoa

With golden sand, azure blue waters and a series of cliffs, caves and crevasses, Praia da Marinha is named among the best beaches of Europe.

Situated 8 km southeast of Lagoa, one has to go cross several steps down the cliff to access the beach, but the arduous walk is definitely worth it. Since, the location is relatively remote, it is an awesome place to sunbathe, to swim, and to spend some time soaking in the beauty of the magnificent scene.

Praia de Odeceixe, Odeceixe

A beautiful stretch of sand, the river Odeceixe reaches the ocean on the right side giving visitors both calm waters on the riverside and some good waves on the ocean side of the beach. Jagged cliff and peaks hover along the beach making it look picturesque. It is a great beach for a family outing –plenty of walking, swimming, surfing, and eating options.

Praia da Falésia, Albufeira

Giving you one of the finest views of the coast as you descend from the clifftop to access the beach, Praia da Falésia popularity among visitors is rightly justified.
The beach is more than 3 km long, so you can always find your own quiet spot. The golden sand, the turquoise water and a stunning cliffside dotted with pine trees make it an ideal beach for strolling. The facilities at the beach are great with numerous bars and restaurants making it an ideal place for couples and families alike.

Praia da Arrifana, Aljezur

Located 10 km away from southwest of the town of Aljezur in the west of Algarve, is Praia da Arrifana. A picturesque cove that is surrounded by cliffs, is very popular among surfers.
There are plenty of surf schools in the area and on days of big swell, one can have a gala time surfing here along with some good diving sites available. Some nearby places to eat can be found and do check out the small traditional fishing harbor.

Praia da Rocha, Portimão

One of the most happening beaches of Algarve, Praia da Rocha is an impressive sight. A long stretch of golden sandy beach with impressive red cliff formation in the vicinity and clear blue water will greet you here. If sunbathing, swimming in the sea, gorging on food and partying at night is on your mind when you visit Algarve, this is the place to be.

Praia do Camilo, Lagos

Small but iconic, the Camilo beach is located in the periphery of Lagos. The beach is characterized by spectacular rock formations jutting out from the Atlantic, some as high as 70 feet and crystal clear waters which makes for an ideal snorkeling spot.
In order to access the beach, you have to climb down a flight of some 200 stairs, but the sight that greets you at the beach is worth the effort. Since, it is a small beach it can get pretty crowded, it is better to come here early to make the most of it.

Praia do Carvoeiro, Carvoeiro

Situated at a short distance from the old fishing village of Carvoeiro, this magnificent city beach is ideal for a clean picturesque which is near to bars, shops, clubs and restaurants. Bask in the sun, indulge in watersports or hop on some boat tours to explore adjacent areas from the sea, there is a lot to do here.
