Palo Duro Canyon State Park

The Grand Canyon on Texas, Palo Duro Canyon, is about 120 miles long and 800 feet deep. It is one of the most popular locations for mountain biking, horseback riding, mountain climbing, hiking, and the like. In summers, you can attend outdoor musical performances.

Caprock Canyons State Park and Trailway

The 90 miles of trekking trails at the Caprock Canyons State Park has plenty of beautiful sightings on offer like the bison which roam freely around the park, the bats that live in Clarity Tunnel and the beautiful scenery pink and cream strata of canyons and cliffs! Llano Estacado - "The Sea of Grass" is a must-visit!

Guadalupe River State Park

The Guadalupe River State Park Paddling Trail is about 13.8-mile long trail which is almost half a day trip. The Painted Bunting to River Overlook Loop is a 5.1-mile trail that is mostly flat with some tricky parts.

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area

The large pink granite dome-shaped rock, the Enchanted Rock, is an excellent climb with beautiful views. It's a day-use park with a number of campsites available to visitors who are willing to hike. With an estimated one billion years of existence, this rock is the oldest exposed rock on our planet.

Monahans Sandhills State Park

Texas has its own share of sand dunes at the Monahans Sandhills State Park. You can rent out sand toboggans and disks from the park's headquarters and enjoy surfing at the dunes! Learn about plants, animals, and human history at Dunagan Vis­i­tors Center. They have 26 campsites with basic amenities. The park is suitable for kids of all age groups.

Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site

The pre-historic pictographs on the cave walls at the Hueco Tanks State Site is one of the place's biggest attraction. Also, it has a number of outdoor activities on offer like camping and rock climbing.

Caddo Lake State Park

The perfect place to kayak, canoe or even do fishing, the Caddo Lake State Park, has about 50 miles of stunning waterway trails where you can have a good paddling experience. It has a beautiful treasure of cypress trees, Spanish moss, ponds and bayous. The 26,810-acre Caddo lake is home to over 70 species of fishes.
