San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

Renovated in 2016 by the well-known architect, Snohetta, the museum has 33,000 works on architecture, art, paintings, sculptures, including a remarkable photography collection.
You can also enjoy the 45,000 sq.ft. public spaces which are filled with art and can be viewed without a ticket.

Asian Art Museum

Located in the Civic Center, this museum holds one of the largest and most diverse collections of Asian Art in the world.
Along with the sculptures, paintings, textiles, armor and furniture which tell us a story of the past 6,000 years of human history, it also houses a Japanese tea house brought in from Japan and rebuilt in the museum.

Museum of the African Diaspora

It celebrates African history, art and politics along with the rich cultural diversity that was a product of the scattering of Africans in the African Diaspora.
The personal stories in the “Slave Narratives” is voiced by the legendary, late Maya Angelou; all the more reason not to miss it. It also has a photo exhibit of Jimi Hendrix on display.
