Florida, the Southeastern state of the USA, is most popular for its beaches and theme parks. Florida is home to the theme park of capital of the world, Orlando, which houses two of the most prominent parks, Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Studios. Cutting-edge and creative, the theme parks of Florida promise fun and frolic for people of all ages.

Disney's Magic Kingdom Park

Among the four theme parks of Walt Disney World Resort, Magic Kingdom is the most popular as well as the classiest. Ideal for families with young kids, it is here that you can meet your favorite Disney characters. It is a fabulous place where the magic of Disney movies come to life.
The rides and attractions at the Magic Kingdom are inspired by the most popular Disney movies and shows. Some of the things you should not miss here include Cinderella Castle, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Haunted Mansion, The Hall of Presidents, Mickey's Philhar Magic, Pirates of the Caribbean and Peter Pan's Flight.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Disney's Animal Kingdom is a cusp between a zoo and a theme park. One of the highlights of the park is Pandora, a zone that is dedicated to the movie Avatar. Kilimanjaro Safari is where you can get a glimpse of several jungle animals like giraffes, lions, tigers, zebras, etc.
Few other popular attractions at the Animal Kingdom include Finding Nemo - The Musical, Festival of the Lion King Show and Kali River Rapids.

Disney's Theme Parks

Apart from Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, Disney has four more theme parks. Universal's Islands of Adventure

Part of Universal Orlando, the Universal Islands of Adventure offers visitors seven themed islands, complete with interesting characters, thrilling rides and amazing attractions.
Harry Potter fans should make a beeline to the ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’, where you can grab a butter beer at Hogsmeade Village and ride on the Hogwarts Express. However, the best attraction here is the ‘Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey’, a fantastical ride that gives fans the chance to experience life in Hogwarts.
Universal's Islands of Adventure is also popular for thrilling rides and attractions based on Marvel superheros, Jurassic Park, the Incredible Hulk, the Amazing Spiderman and Cat in the Hat. There is also a Dr. Seuss-themed play area for little children.

Volcano Bay

A water theme park within Universal Resort Florida, the Volcano Bay is one of the latest editions to the theme parks of Florida. The highlight of the park is the 200 feet tall artificial volcano, Krakatau. The towering volcano has some unbelievable slides and water coasters that adventure lovers would fall in love with.
Apart from Krakatau, Volcano Bay has three more themed areas, including Wave Village, Rainforest Village and River Village. While each area has some unique and interesting rides, slides and attractions, each of them has been designed based on Polynesian islands and cultures.

LEGOLAND Florida Resort

Located in Winter Haven, LEGOLAND Florida Resort is the perfect holiday spot for families with kids under the age of 12. Based on the theme of Legos, LEGOLAND Florida has a theme park, water park and some unique hotels.
With more than 50 rides, attractions, shows, stores and restaurants, there would never be a dull moment at LEGOLAND. Miniland USA, brick-building zones and recreations of popular cities and locales with Lego are few other things worth checking out at LEGOLAND Florida Resort.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

For those whom adventure parks mean thrilling roller coasters that leave your adrenaline pumping, Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay would not fail to impress you. Opened in 1959, this Florida theme park is one of the oldest in the state.
When it comes to the rides and roller coasters at Busch Gardens, Falcon's Fury is the most popular, while Cheetah Hunt, Sheikra and Montu would make your heart skip a beat. This theme park also has a zoo, where you can get to see zebras, giraffes, cheetahs and even kangaroos.

SeaWorld Orlando

If you want to make your trip to a theme park that is full of fun as well as educational, SeaWorld Orlando would be perfect. Apart from being a theme park, it is also a marine zoological park, where you get to learn about dolphins and other marine species through interactive exhibits and programs.
SeaWorld is also popular for its mind-blowing roller coasters and rides, some of which hold the records for being the tallest, fastest and the largest thrill rides in Orlando.
