Tuyen Lam Lake
A Zen Buddhist Temple, freshwater lake, pine forests, beautiful streams and rivers, and untouched scenery - that's what awaits you at the Tuyen Lam Lake!
The manmade lake here is one of the best places to visit in Vietnam if you are looking for some quiet time in the lap of nature. You can go boating in the lake or enjoy some horseriding on the lakeshore alongside hiking, once you are at the lake.
Bao Dai's Summer Palace
Built by Bao Dai to escape the heat at other parts of Vietnam, the summer palace has all of the ancient furniture in place alongside Bao Dai's personal possessions.
Being the last emperor of Vietnam Bao Dai , the palace holds utmost importance in the history of the place! You will be able to take a tour of the palace and personally witness the royalty and luxury on display.
Linh Phuoc Pagoda
One of the most famous temples in Vietnam, the Linh Phuoc Pagoda, is well-known for its 37 meters high bell tower!
Tallest amongst all the other temples in the country, this temple beautifully narrates the life story of Buddha via a series of murals in the colourful central hall. Visit the temple to get an insight into the history of Buddhism.
Elephant Falls
Though you need to drive out of the city to reach this place, trust us, it's totally worth it! The picturesque Elephant falls, located some 30 km from the city centre, is named so due to a rock at the sight that resembles the head of the elephant.
You need to climb a fleet of uneven, slippery, few moss-covered stone steps to reach to the top of the falls. Take caution while climbing! Also, don't forget to carry a raincoat or an extra pair of clothes as you are likely to experience misty water splashes while climbing.
Dalat Flower Gardens
Also nicknamed as the City of Flowers, the city of Dalat has some breathtaking display of flowers at the Flower Gardens. With a suitable climate and plentiful rains, you can find flowers in the gardens that are unique to this place!
There is a collection of about 300 flowers, most of which blossom all year round! Visit the place during winter and spring, to enjoy the view to the fullest.
Valley of Love
A romantic getaway in the city with a rolling lake as the centrepiece, the Valley of Love or the Thung Lung Tinh Yeu, is a 13-hectare man-made lake sitting in the middle of a valley!
You will be greeted with love at the entrance by the huge golden statue of hands exchanging rings! There are swan-shaped paddle boats available for hire alongside a dreamy horse and carriages, to give a cinematic twist to your romantic evening.
Dalat Market
Located in the city center, you can shop for local delicacies such as fruits, vegetables, herbal teas and the like. During the day, the bright-colored shops at the market, are filled with all the items under the sun for sale.
At night these markets turn into a famous food destination. You can find small food stalls all over the place, offering local Vietnamese dishes and snacks.
Truc Lam Pagoda
A destination that will just take a couple of hours to explore, the Pagoda has monks residing here! A beautiful display of traditional Asian architecture on offer, the place can be accessed via a cable car.
Crazy House
A bizarre and unique attraction in Vietnam, the Crazy House, resembles a huge tree with a few florae and fauna-shaped sculptures created here and there!
