Gordon Beach
The rows of volleyball courts and the saltwater Gordon pool are the highlights of this beach. Since it is centrally located, it's quite a popular beach with locals and tourists.

This popular beach is also known for its water sports like stand-up paddling, surfing and kite-surfing.
Metzitzim (Sheraton) Beach
Known for its Friday afternoon summer beach parties, this beach derives its name from a 70's Israeli movie. The movie was filmed on this beach, and the name latched on.
Although this isn't the best beach in terms of maintenance, it's popularly loved for its convenience of location. It's also a family friendly beach due to the calm waters, lifeguard presence, and children's playground.
Banana Beach, Tel Aviv
This beach derives its name from the famous Banana cafe and bar on the beach. It is also nicknamed 'drummer's beach', due to the drumming sessions that take place every friday.
Locals are found passionately playing Israel's beach side ball game 'matkot' here. It's wonderful to watch them playing this game, because the rules seem to be so confusing.
Hilton Beach, Tel Aviv
Hilton beach has three sections. The northern section is dog friendly, the middle section is the gay friendly section, while the southern end you will find surfers.
Night Surfing
The amazing reef breaks make the beach popular among surfers. The bay is lit via a specialized lighting system, thus, allowing night surfing as well.

Ha' Maravi Beach
Situated at the southern end of Tel Aviv's coastline, this beach is loved for its high, strong waves. Surfing is a popular activity here.
Dolphinarium Beach
Because of the dolphin tank that was situated besides this beach, this beach got the name 'Dolphinarium' Beach. It's also called 'drummer's beach' due to the drummers who frequent it with their drumming and music.
Frishman Beach
Ideal for families with children, because the shallow waters allow for safe and enjoyable beach time. Lifeguards are present along with good first aid facility.
Volley ball nets are set up on the beach for groups to play. Outdoor workout facilities are also provided. It's quite a popular beach, so expect it to be crowded.
Jerusalem Beach
Nestled in an urban setting, the beach has a skyscraper backdrop. It's commonly referred to as Guela beach by the locals. Water sports, volleyball and matkot are popular here.
Bograshov Beach
A number of wooden gazebos, sun loungers and beach umbrellas are peppered all over the beach. Weekdays are better if you wish to avoid the crowds.
Nordau Beach
This beach is a rather unique beach, because it's a gender specific beach. High walls demarcate the beach area. The beach primarily caters to the Orthodox Jewish population.
Separate days are assigned to men and women. It's primarily for women who find it more comfortable on a single gender beach. However, on Saturdays, this religious beach is open to both men and women.
