Bluffer’s Park Beach
The beach is named after the Scarborough Bluffs that extends along the coast. Interestingly, these bluffs are brittle and loose, so if you put your ear up to their wall and listen to it carefully, you might hear the sound of sand slipping inside.
Coming to the beach, visitors enjoy the scenic views of the beach backdropped by the splendid bluffs. People enjoy hiking, biking, and picnicking here with their near and dear ones. The beach is equipped with all the necessary facilities like washrooms, changing rooms, parkland, swimming, fishing, drinking fountains, and picnic areas.
This beach is a Blue Flag Beach which means it is certified for strict water quality and safety standards.
Woodbine Beach
A scenic beach with extra soft white sand and calming waves perfect for a one-day outing. The beach has plenty of recreational activities like playgrounds, volleyball courts, Martin Goodman trails and Ashbridges Bay, and some essential facilities like bathing stations and changing rooms.
Ward’s Island Beach
Located on the southeastern corner of Toronto Island Park, this beach can be reached by ferry from the Queens Quay Terminal.
Here, you can rent a bike and explore the island with your loved ones for some hours and then relax yourself swimming in the calm waters. This way you can spend a day on this island and come back to the city in the evening.
Kew-Balmy Beach
Kew Balmy beach is a popular spot for locals to spend their weekends. The two highlights of this beach is a long boardwalk followed by an off-leash dog park where you can enjoy with your furry ones.
The beach has ample of facilities that include a playground, outdoor fitness arena, snack bar, along with kayaking and canoeing paddle boats.
Marie Curtis Beach Park
This is lesser-known and a bit farther beach from the city of Toronto. This beach allows your kids to have fun on the playground while you can enjoy walking on the serene trails alongside or relax on the peaceful waterfront.
Cherry Beach
One of the most-loved beach in Toronto, located at the end of the happening Cherry St. Here, one can indulge in windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, or just roaming on the bike trails alongside the beach.
One more good news is you can also bring your pets here and let their little paws soak in the sand.
Rouge Beach
Although, this beach is not exactly out of the city, but gives you the feeling of a quick escape from the busy streets of the city. Besides swimming, sunbathing, fishing, or canoeing, Rouge beach offers a great wildlife viewing experience.
This place is worth spending one day and night stay, after a day full of fun activities on the beach you can allow yourselves to relax in the night in nearby campsites surrounded by nature.
Sunnyside Beach
Located in the western part of the city on the shore of Lake Ontario, this beach is one of the favorite summer picnic places.
This beach has a chain of parks along the waterfront that includes - a boardwalk for pedestrians and Martin Goodman Trail for cyclists, Sunnyside Pavilion and Sunnyside Gus Ryder Pool, and a big playground in the Sir Casimir Gzowski Park.
