Chania is a seaside city located on the island of Crete. Its many beaches and markets are notable, but what's special about Chania is its various historical buildings and museums.
The Old Venetian Harbor is a big spread-out area facing the sea. There are many restaurants, bakeries and bars in this area but also historical structures from the time of the Venetian and Turkish occupation.
Mosque Küçük Hasan is one of the historical structures on the Old Venetian Harbor. Built by the Turks, parts of it were destroyed during World War II. It now serves as an exhibition hall.
The Old Chania Market is home to many shops that sell traditional Greek food from the region.
The Archaeological Museum of Chania, located in a building that was formerly a church, contains numerous artifacts from Greek history.
The Greek National Football Museum tells the history of the Greek National Football Team. They also contain signed shirts of many famous football players, making it a treat for Football lovers.
