Best Places to Visit in Positano, Italy

Positano is situated on the Amalfi coast and its vibrant beaches has made it one of the most popular tourist attractions in Southern Italy. Many Hollywood films have also been shot here.

How to Get to Positano

If you have landed at a nearby airport, shuttle buses are available. Ferries from nearby towns are also provided. By road, one can take the national road or the provincial road.
Positano Spiaggia is the main beach in Positano. The beach has beautiful private and public areas apt for spending a sunny day.

If the Positano Spiaggia gets a bit crowded, Fornillo beach is a quieter, less busy option. There's ample area for sitting and there's a nice restaurant nearby serving delicious Italian food.

Arizeno Beach is reached by a boat ride from Positano. Once there, one can take a dive in the clear waters.
Path of the Gods is a hiking trail that takes you through most of the Amalfi Coast. On the trail, be sure to stop at one of the shops to get the taste of traditional Italian food.
The Church of Saint Mary of the Assumption is located near the beach. Interestingly, the church houses a statue of the Madonna built in the Byzantine style i.e. a black Madonna.
