Scranton is known as the Electric City due to it's history of Coal Mining. In modern times however, the city is known more for being the setting of the American version of the iconic sitcom The Office.

NAY AUG FALLS

Nay Aug Park is the site of the Nay Aug Falls. The waterfall forms a deep gorge, which can be seen from a tree-house that gives a view of the whole park. There are also two Olympic-sized swimming pools.

EVERHART MUSEUM

Everhart Museum is also part of Nay Aug Park. It's a museum dedicated to Natural Science, History and Folk Art.

ELECTRIC CITY AQUARIUM

Electric City Aquarium and Reptile Den, located in a mall, has exhibits of fishes of various sizes as well as dens of predatory reptiles.

LAKE SCRANTON

Lake Scranton is a tranquil lake with a jogging track beside it and wonderful scenery surrounding it.

MONTAGE MOUNTAIN RESORT

Montage Mountain Resort offers Skiing trails for beginners to experts. There's also a snow-tubing park as well as a restaurant with home-made food and beer.

STEAMTOWN NATIONAL HISTORICAL SITE

Steamtown National Historical Site showcases old locomotives as well as reconstructed models of old trains. Preserved old buildings can also be seen here.

ELECTRIC CITY TROLLEY MUSEUM

Located near the Steamtown Historical Site, Electric City Trolley Museum houses the old trolleys and railroads, a gift of a model train set by John Oliver when he covered a story relating to Scranton on his show Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
