Blackpool is a town that prides itself on its tourism. People from the north of England have been visiting Blackpool since the 18th century and now the town attracts visitors from all over the world. The town is also known for being LGBT-friendly.
Blackpool Zoo hosts animals and birds from all over the world. The special interests here are the Elephant Outlook, Giraffe House and the Dinosaur Safari with its statues of Dinosaurs.
Blackpool lays claim to three thriving piers. The Central Pier is the busiest of the three piers as there are shops and rides, while the icing on the top is the huge Ferris Wheel known as 'Blackpool Eye.'
The North Pier and South Pier are less busy but still worthy to visit. Between them they contain shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, a theater on the North Pier as well as rides on the South Pier.
The Blackpool Tower Dungeon features professional actors reciting scary stories from the history of England. An attraction that's entertaining due to the quality of the actors and the competence of the production.
Blackpool is known for its history of hosting comedy gigs. Many comedians have graced the various theaters of Blackpool. The Comedy Carpet is a tilted floor that features hundreds of jokes that comedians have told here in Blackpool.
Blackpool Tower is modeled after the Eiffel Tower. The panoramic view from the top is majestic. There is also a ballroom with a glass floor.
