Home of Ceramics, martial arts, Cantonese opera and Cantonese Cuisine, it is the third-largest city in the Guangdong Province in southern China. Foshan, meaning “Hill of Buddha” in English, is an ideal city for both long vacations and short stays.
Foshan Ancestral Temple showcases the different parts of Chinese culture highlighting the region's spirituality and history.
Qinghui Garden is one of the famous gardens of China. It showcases the historical gardening techniques of the Lingan culture.
Huagai Pedestrian Street has the look of a street from another time with it's old buildings. The many shops here sell delicious Chinese food. It is located near Qinghui Garden.
Xiqiao Mountain Park is a wide spread area filled with stunning scenery and temples. Once the top of the mountain is reached, the view is breathtaking.
Qiandeng Lake is a tranquil lake that provides lots of space for recreational activities. At night, the surrounding buildings light up to make a dazzling scene.
Bruce Lee Paradise Park houses the biggest Bruce Lee statue in the world. The park also has a museum honoring him as well as a general park area.
Baolin Temple is surrounded by Sunfengshan Park which is very picturesque. The temple itself is a very peaceful place with a view of the city. One can also see monks chanting here.

Traveling to Foshan can be a great way to get close to Chinese culture and food in Sothern China. Spring, from March to May, and fall, from September to early November, are the best times to visit this city.
