St. Kitts and Nevis may not be as popular a destination as its Caribbean brethren like Jamaica and Barbados, but that does not mean it's not worth visiting. In fact due to this, its many beaches are quiet and can be enjoyed in peace.
Pinney's Beach is located near the capital of Nevis, Charlestown. It's a long beach with calm waters and jet skis are available here.
Oualie Beach contains fine white sand and is suitable for swimming. There's also a small pier from which you can hop onto a water taxi.
South Friars Beach is located on St. Kitts and offers a view of Nevis on the other side. Snorkeling is available here and there are plenty of beach bars and restaurants in the vicinity.
Dolphin Discovery Saint Kitts is an enclosure where one can view and also swim with Dolphins. Trainers help and professional photographers take photos.
Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park is a symbol of the hardships of the natives as it was built by African slaves under the command of the British. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is maintained quite well.
Alexander Hamilton was born in Nevis. The birthplace is now turned into the Hamilton estate and the adjoining Museum of Nevis History, which recounts the history of the island.
The hike to reach Nevis Peak is not for the faint-hearted. It's a very steep climb where one has to use ropes two-thirds of the way through. Those who do embark on the adventure however are rewarded with magnificent views and wide variety of species of birds and plants.
