It lies between Baker Beach and Lands End. The water here is dark and ice cold. The beach is too crowded on weekends, but it is a magical experience to watch the sunset hit the bridge.

This is a south-facing beach, below the Marin Headlands. The sand here is black, and it is a quiet, clean beach.

It's a perfect place to go to on a warm day to wade in the bay, swim in the pool, have a picnic and enjoy fishing. Also, no fishing license is required for pier fishing.
10. McNear’s Beach
Located near the Golden Gate Bridge, it offers fantastic views of the bridge on a clear day. You can see huge numbers of Pelicans here.

Located along a path towards the Albany Bulb, this is the best beach for dogs to play. For humans too, there are nice views around, on the beach.
