Pattaya is a popular destination, very close to Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok. Some of the beaches here may not be very famous but the white-sand and the tropical weather are just waiting to be explored.
Jomtien Beach
The beautiful palm tree lined beach is a hotspot for windsurfers and kiteboarders which you may try if you want to. You can just relax, participate in water sports, and enjoy the 6 km long beach.
The best part is the numerous accommodation options closer to the beach. Also, you definitely get the Thai feel with the numerous street food stalls.
Pattaya Beach
It is a 4 kilometer, crescent-shaped beach with a lot to offer. This vibrant beach may not be the go to beach because of its crowd. But, it definitely is the most convenient and accessible.
Reach here early to enjoy your peace. You can indulge in beach sports like parasailing and jet skiing or relax whilst enjoying the Thai delicacies.
Wong Amat Beach
Even if it’s close to the Pattaya beach, it is much quieter and cleaner. It is perfect for someone who wants to get away from the crowd and parties, and for families.
There aren’t many activities here so you get to swim around and sunbathe peacefully without the boat traffic. You may take a nice walk around and gorge on the Thai food.
Koh Larn Beach/Coral Beach
The beautiful beach has to be reached by a boat, which are very frequent from Pattaya’s main pier. As the name goes, the beautiful corals around can be explored by snorkeling or taking a ride in a glass bottom boat.
Naklua Beach
The beach lies just north to Pattaya Beach and is very secluded, except the fishermen waiting for their catch here. There aren’t many water sport activities so you can peacefully swim and gorge on the exceptionally fresh and delicious seafood.
You can also get a great view of the Sanctuary of Truth.
Dong Tan Beach
The quiet beach which is 1.5 km long is perfect for water sports, relaxing, great massages, and sunbathing.
Pattaya is famous for its LGBTQ scene but this beach attracts the most crowds with its various gay-friendly bars.
Bang Saray Beach
It is a pretty secluded beach as it’s located farther in the south, near a quaint Thai town. Nearby attractions are the Pattaya Dolphin World and the Ramayana Water Park.
The beach is famous among divers as there are remains of a WW II sunken cargo ship and gives a fair chance to spot whale sharks too.
Bang Saen Beach
The 2.5 kilometer beach is located on the Eastern Gulf Coast. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway or family time. Take a stroll, swim, or just relax on the lounge chairs.
The beach is a must-visit during the Wan Lai festival that happens at the Laem Tape Cape, which is at the end of the beach.
Tawaen Beach
The beach is a tropical paradise located in Koh Larn Island, amidst lush green mountains. Experience the beautiful waters and sand by simply lounging.
You can enjoy the water sports, dine on some amazing food, and shop for pretty souvenirs from the numerous handicraft shops here.
Bamboo Beach/ Koh Phai
The island boasts as a scuba destination and is also known for its islands. It is a paradise away from the city and is only accessible by boat or charter.
The beach boasts of scenic landscape around. It also has calmer waves which are good for swimming.
