Haystack Rock

This majestic 235 feet high structure soars magically into the blue sky above the shoreline. The view is breathtaking! Your visit during low tide can find you some distinct sea creatures.
Protected as a marine sanctuary, the Haystack rock is a part of the National Wildlife Refuge and provides a beautiful bird watching destination for tourists round the year. Puffins can be often seen here!

Ecola State Park

Stretching across 9 miles of the Oregon Coast is the Ecola State Park. The engraved walking trails provide panoramic views for photographers. A distant view of the Tillamook rock lighthouse is enchanting.
Although it has miles of hiking trails you can also enjoy myriad picnic spots and other recreational activities like tide pooling, surfing, wildlife.

The Ecola Point and the Indian Beach are the two major spots you should not miss! The Ecola point with its smooth grassy layout and small to big picnic tables boasts of one of the best picnic spots available!
Just a few minutes driving distance from Ecola point is the Indian Beach. Popular among surfers and sea lovers, it also skirts wildlife like deer, elk and sea birds like bald eagles, falcons, etc. 

Oswald West State Park

Located just about 10 miles south of the Oregon beach city has been the secluded white sand beach of Oswald West State Park. It offers 13 miles of hiking trails which is carved midway through the forest and overlooks the Oregon beach.
The hiking trails are easy enough for casual hikers and long enough to keep it interesting for all types of hikers!
Into the woods and you will soon reach the Short Sand Beach, located in a secured cove and flanked by rainforest. Two prominent headlands - Cape Falcon and Neahkahnie offer great hiking!

Hug Point

The Hug Point got its unique name from the fact that travelers used to 'hug' the sides of this sandstone cliff before moving forward during low tides! This place is perfect for picnics, swimming or just a serene day outside!
