Fascinating Tourist Attractions in Equatorial Guinea

Equatorial Guinea may not be the foremost tourist destination in West Africa but it is an underrated one. One can experience here uncluttered nature and the outdoor experiences in this nation are worth taking.
San Antonio de Ureca is one of the wettest places on earth and it receives the most rainfall of any place in Africa. On the shores in the village one can see the turtles lay eggs while there are several hiking trails in the nearby jungle.
Located on the border with Cameroon is the Reserva Natural de Rio Campo. One can see here turtles, hippos and Goliath frogs.
Located in the village of Cogo is Evouat beach. This beach has spectacular views and on the other side of the sea one can see the country of Gabon. One can also see the friendly locals taking part in their fishing.
Arena Blanca is a beach on Bioko Island. A white sand beach it is a lively one although it can be enjoyed in isolation too because it is large enough. The beach is surrounded by mango trees.
Parque Nacional de Pico Basile is a national park on Bioko Island. Pico Basile is the largest mountain in Equatorial Guinea and one can climb the mountain to experience some really amazing views.
Cathedral de Santa Isabel is a cathedral in the capital city of Malabo. Built in 1897, it has beautiful interiors and the cathedral provides for a fantastic view from the outside.
The Malabo National Park is a perfect place for a nice retreat. There are walking and biking paths, various intriguing statues and several nice quiet restaurants. When the park is all lit up at night it is a charming sight to see.
Monte Alén National Park is one of the main sights to visit in Equatorial Guinea. There are plenty of hiking trails, the park is not at all congested, there are various animals to see and of course, the views are fantastic.
The island of Annobón is tough to get to but once there one will experience an enthralling ecosystem. There are various plants and animals endemic to the island, including two species of songbirds. Sharks can also be sometimes glimpsed in the nearby waters.
