La Tour Eiffel

Needless to say that this is the number one tourist attraction in France. Built in 1889, by Gustave Eiffel, as an entrance arch for the World's Fair, today the tower makes a mighty contribution to national pride. La Tour Eiffel is definitely a place you've got to visit.

Musée du Louvre

The largest palace museum, Louvre is a host to some of most coveted and famous paintings in the world.
Its exhibits include Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci and some other remarkable works by Botticelli, Raphael, and Michelangelo. The palatial museum also includes Greek, Etruscan, Roman, and Egyptian antiquities. The old fortress has incredible collectibles which deserve a look.

Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris

The Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral, literally translates as 'Our Lady of Paris' in English. This cathedral beats Eiffel tour in terms of visitors, which are somewhere around 13 million.

Louis VII started building the cathedral in 1163, which was finally completed around 1345 by the fourth architect. A victim to the French Revolution and several other scars, the structure is a living relic.

Arc du Triomphe

Arc du Triomphe is originally known as Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile. Situated at the center of Palace Charles de Gaulle, it gives a spectacular view of the western end of Champs-Élysées. This triumphal arch honors the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Napoleonic wars and World War I.

Versailles

The Palace of Versailles is an impressive château, which served as the center of political power, when Louis XIV moved in from Paris.
Today the château is not just a symbol of opulent architecture but of absolute monarchy too. It's outstandingly built which will surely captivate you and teleport you to a period trapped in history.

Mont St. Michel

Mont Blanc

Mont Blanc, which literally means the white mountain is the highest peak in the Alps. About 4,810 m above sea level, these mountains are also famously know as The White Lady. Located between Italy and France, it's an answer to the trekker's streak within you.

Chateaux de la Loire

Chateaux de la Loire or the Garden of France is famous for its historical castles such as Châteaux d'Amboise, Château de Chambord, Château de Villandry, and Chenonceau. This place is a major tourist attraction in France, since it is home to ideals of Renaissance and the Age of Enlightenment. This site is listed in UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.

Carcassonne

The fortified French town, Carcassonne was once a completely destroyed city. However, today it holds a place among UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. Carcassonne has 53 towers and a double ring of ramparts, something that every tourist must see.

Lascaux

Prehistoric paintings which are about 17,000 years old are an opportunity to understand ancient life. The cave complex consists of 2000 paintings of animals, hunting games, and human life.
