Here is a compilation of the longest highways in the world.
Also known as Christopher Columbus Highway, Interstate 80 is around 4,666 kilometers (2,900 mi.) long.

It begins at an interchange in San Francisco, and passes through 11 states, before ending in New Jersey, making it the 2nd longest interstate in the U.S.A.
The longest interstate in the United States, I-90 is around 4,987 kilometers (3,099 mi.)in length. It passes through 13 states starting at the SoDo area of Seattle, ending in Boston, Massachusetts.

The construction of this enormous highway project took approximately 35 years, from 1950 to 1985.
U.S. Route 6 is also known as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway. It is 5,158 kilometers (3,205 mi.) long, and was constructed in the honor of the American Civil War Veterans Association in the 1920s.

The longest highway in India, the Golden Quadrilateral connects four most major cities of the nation (Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai). The highway was constructed on a budget of 600 billion INR, between 2001 and 2012. Spread out across the country, the total length of this highway is 5,846 km (3,633 mi.).
With a length of around 7,821 kilometers (4,860 mi.), the Trans-Canada Highway is 4th longest in the world, and passes through each of the ten provinces of Canada, connecting all the major cities in the country. Construction of the project started in 1950, and ended in 1971, with a cost of approximately USD 1 billion.
Comprising 7 federal highways, and totaling a length of around 11,000 kilometers (6,835 mi.), the Trans-Siberian highway starts in St. Petersburg and ends at Vladivostok. The road is extremely scenic, and will take travelers through a wide range of topography and climes.
