It is the eight least populous state and it shares its border with four states.
Fondly called as "LAND OF THE SHINING MOUNTAINS", Montana is the fourth largest state.
And fifty three state parks..
It has seven state forests..
This state is the only one in USA to have triple divide, allowing water to flow through:
Hudson Bay
Atlantic Ocean
Pacific Ocean
Live stock industry is at peak surpassing the human count.
First people to settle here were called Paleo Indians who are referred to as native Americans.
3/5th eastern Montana consists of plain region and 2/5th western Montana is hilly rocky mountain range.
Granite Peak tops the list of highest points at 12,807 ft. 
It gains 10th position in USA peak points.
Snow lasts for 200 days in a year which is usually light in density.
Yogo Sapphires are found here that have unique color which is cornflower blue.
Mountains  have varied climatic conditions at the elevation points and plains have semi-arid climate.
Numerous mammals have home in Montana till date.
Thus, MOTTO OF MONTANA became
 ORO y PLATA meaning GOLD AND SILVER, IN SPANISH.
In 18th century, the mountains here held Gold and Silver.
It also happens to be the home to huge Dinosaurs fossil collection.
A museum called The Museum of Rockies possess 13 T-rex specimen.
