Svalbard Global Seed Vault, Norway
Also called 'The Doomsday Vault', it is home to over 100 million seeds from around the world. These seeds are kept under high security in this faraway place in Norway.
TheseĀ  seeds are stored for doomsday when a disaster may wipe out the plant kingdom. This place is not something that any tourist or person can stumble upon a chance. Thus, making it one of the most forbidden places to visit on Earth.
North Sentinel Island, India
Off the cost in Bay of Bengal, lies a tiny island called the North Sentinel Island. You may be tempted to visit its sandy beaches and turquoise-blue waters. But beware! Never ever attempt to reach it!
The indigenous people called the Sentinelese are very hostile. They do not let any outsiders put foot on their island. They are ready to kill any intruder on sight. Thus, this island is strictly off limits to any person from the outside world.
Poveglia, Italy
Located between Venice and Lido, this island is the most haunted place in Italy. This deserted island was made into a quarantine site for people suffering from Bubonic plague. It was basically an island where people were sent to breath their last.
Later, it became an asylum for mentally ill patients. It was rumored that doctors carried out awful experiments on the patients. Thus, for a good reason it is off limits to avoid the island's supposedly haunted souls.
Snake Island, Brazil
Never ever set foot on Snake Island, Brazil. Located 93 miles off the coast of Sao Paulo, this island is home to snakes. These snakes include golden lancehead viper whose venom is said to melt the skin around the bite.
Pluto's Gate, Turkey
Pluto's Gate in Hierapolis is a place that is forbidden to people since ancient ages. It is said the CO2 levels here are very high. Any living creature cannot survive this place more than a few minutes.
Zone Rouge, France
Also called the Red Zone, it is an inhabitable area located in the North-eastern region of France. This region is ravaged by the WWI and is said to be filled with human and animal remains as well as many unexploded weapons.
Although most of the planet has been discovered, there are still a few unexplored regions. Some islands are safeguarded to protect the indigenous, some to protect the wildlife.
At times human mistakes have made these places inhabitable or the extraterrestrial and mysterious hauntings have caused many to abandon these regions in fear.
