You can sight the outstanding view of Pioneer, Smoky and Trinity Mountains as well as the Bennett Hills from Smoky Dome. It’s the highest peak of soldier mountain and also the 21st most prominent peak of Idaho.

Borah Peak

Named in 1934 after Senator William Borah, it’s the highest mountain in Idaho with a height of 12,662 feet and has plenty of camping spots near Borah Trailhead.

Leatherman Peak

Second highest peak in Idaho at a height of 12,228 ft, it is to the southeast of Borah peak. The view here includes Mount Corruption, Mount Church, and Badrock Peak.

Mount Church

Third highest peak with 12,200 ft height, it is usually climbed in concurrence with Donaldson Peak, as they sit on the same ridge.

Diamond Peak

At 12,197 feet above sea level, it's the fourth highest peak. Being one of the much sought, it notices about 50 to 100 climbers a year.

Mount Idaho

The eighth highest peak in Idaho at an height of 12,023 feet, it is named after the late Charles Russell Donaldson, Supreme Court Justice of Idaho.

At an elevation of 12,009 feet above sea level, it's the ninth highest peak in Idaho. You can camp about 5 miles away from the trailhead at Hyndman Basin.
