If you want to have a quiet day at the beach not too far away from the Ibiza town, then Talamanca beach is the place for you. The beach runs about less than a mile in a curve and makes for an excellent place for safe bathing.

Also known as the Cala Conta beach, Platges de Comte boasts of a spectacular backdrop and three kinds of area to explore in one beach – two have sandy shores and one has a rocky coastline. With crystal clear turquoise waters, the beach is very inviting and one would want to spend most of the time here. Snorkeling is one activity you can try at the beach.

The water here is quite safe for swimming, however, don’t venture too far into the sea as the current can get strong sometimes. This is also a great place to catch up a spectacular sunset.

Catch a ferry from Ibiza harbor to its sister island – Formentera situated about 20 km away. It is a piece of paradise with amazing azure waters and a stretch of white sandy beaches that are listed among the best beaches in the world. Spend your time lazing on the beach and soaking in the beauty of this idyllic place.

The water here is ideal for diving and snorkeling. If you are keen on exploring the interior of the island, rent a bike and get set go! The beaches here like the Playa de Ses Illetes, Calo des Mort are almost tropical in nature and are visited by celebrities and big names from the world over.

2 km off the west coast of Ibiza, stands the uninhabited rock island of Es Vedra. Made of limestone, it is about 400 meters in height and is a protected natural park. There are many myths and mysteries surrounding the island – one of which is that it is the third most magnetic place on Earth; though such claims are not scientifically verified.

The landscape of the rocky island is dramatic and there is some wild fauna to spot too. A ferry or a boat ride from Ibiza harbor or from San Antonio can bring you here. There are water sports excursions to try around the island.

If you had enough of beaches and want to try something else, a hike up the tallest point in Ibiza is well worth a visit. Sa Talaia is in Sant Josep in Ibiza and is a 2.4 km uphill hike. The panoramic sight of the whole island that greets you at the top can take your breath away. The sunset view from the top is spectacular, so time your visit accordingly.
