Destinations Worth a Visit in Zanzibar

Stone Town
Prison Island
About 25 minutes away from the maze of Stone Town, Prison Island is a historical tourist attraction worth the visit. It is also home to ginormous tortoises who are well over 150-years.
The Spice Island
Zanzibar has an interesting aromatic heritage and thus, known as the Spice Island. Take a fragrant tour down the exotic plantations of cloves, nutmeg, lemongrass, black pepper, mango, as well as the fragrant Durian.

Paje
About an hour's drive from the UNESCO Heritage Stone Town, it is a beach with turquoise waters. If you are interested in water sports, this is the place for you. Try kitesurfing here on Zanzibar's biggest beach.
Jozani Forest
Explore the pristine rainforest of Zanzibar, the Jozani Forest. Itis the only remaining indigenous forest of Zanzibar. You can still spot the endangered red colobus monkey as well as other animals such as bushbabies, Ader's duiker, and more.
Seaweed Center, Paje
You may not know this, but this is the place where you can try seaweed smoothie. Do shop for organic soaps, essential oils, scrubs, etc. made by local women and support their business.
Jambiani
This is a serene fishing village with a white sand beach. It's a place to chill and ease off.
Sail the Ocean Waters
Take a dhow, a wooden boat with a canvas sail, and go on a mesmerizing blue safari tour. The dhow takes you to Menai Bay and catch a glimpse of dolphins. It also lets you visit a secluded sandbank for seafood lunch before heading back to Stone Town.
Soak in the Sunset
Zanzibar allows you to view the most stunning sunsets across the island. Make sure you take a romantic sunset cruise or view the sun drown in the ocean waters from your hotel terrace or while taking a walk down the beach.
